Kumari Bank Limited, Nepal – CBS Transformation from Flexcube to Finacle

• BBSSL was approached by Infosys local partner in Nepal for this transformation
  Project. BBSSL with this implementation has completed over 90% of Finacle Projects
  in Nepal. Finacle accounts for over 70% of Banking software in “A” Class Bank in
  Nepal.
• Kumari Bank also was very proactive and supported the Project team right from word
  go and ensured that seamlessness was there in all sphere of Implementation processes.
• This project was completed in less than 10 months and with post Go-Live support,
  Bank is running smoothly the Finacle Software including Treasury Customizations
  which BBSSL had done considering the local requirements.

Salient Features of Implementation

• Loan Penal interest was another locale specific requirement which is customised and
  deployed successfully in this project.
• Besides, Conductor Details, ASBA, clearing interfaces, etc. were other main Locale
  specific Customizations done.
• There was major challenge in interfacing BI Reports with Finacle which was well
  coordinated between Bank’s IT team and our team to ensure the completeness of
  reporting front which needs to be complied with Regulatory authorities and the
  Central Bank (NRB) norms.
• Bank also implemented opening of Customers / Accounts through channel from day
  one. The APIs were tweaked to suit to their requirement and it is successfully running
  in the Bank.
• Bank has over 1.5 million Customers and about close to a lac of Loan Customers out
  of which at least 25% HNI (High Net worth Individuals).
• Finacle is also interfaced with other delivery channels which are of third parties like
  Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Swift, etc.
